2019 Madrid Women’s Half Marathon – 4th Edition

SECTION 1. DESCRIPTION

2019 Madrid Women’s Half Marathon – 4th Edition

The race is organised by the event department of the magazine SPORT LIFE, Group Motorpress Ibérica, S.A. and it is included in the international calendar of the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).

SECTION 2. DATES, SCHEDULE AND ENTRY FEES

The race of 21,097.5 metres will be held on Sunday 27 October 2019 in the city of Madrid from 9:00H. 3 hours is the maximum time to finish the race route.

Registration period starts the 6 March 2019.

SECTION 3. PARTICIPATION. Exclusive participation for women.

Only women older than 18 years could take part of the competition, provided that they are correctly registered on time as well as a valid entry.

SECTION 4. DISTANCE AND ROUTE.

The race will be held on a route of 21,097 kilometres fully asphalted. The race starts at el Paseo del Prado and the finish line will be placed at el Paseo de la Chopera (Matadero).

SECTION 5. ENTRIES AND REGISTRATION.

SECTION 5.1. - REGISTRATION PERIOD

From 6 March 2019 to 23 October 2019 at 12:00H or while the 4000 entries last.

SECTION 5.2.- REGISTRATION FEES AND PERIODS
  • 6 March, the registration fee is 12€ for participants who raced the third edition of EDP Madrid Women’s Half Marathon. (+0,60€ if you register by Internet as banking commission).
  • The registration fee from 7 March to 1 June is 14€ (+0,60€ if you register by Internet as banking commission).
  • The registration fee from 2 June to 15 September is 18€ (+0,60€ if you register by Internet as banking commission).
  • The registration fee from 16 September to 15 October is 21€ (+0,60€ if you register by Internet as banking commission).
  • The registration fee from 16 October to 23 October is 25€ (+0,60€ if you register by Internet as banking commission).

To the aforementioned registration fees is added 3€ for a single day racing license by the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). Participants with National or Madrid federation license or Carnet Corredor Plus will be exempt from the single day racing license.

SECTION 5.3. - CANCELLATION INSURANCE.

Once the registration is recorded, under no circumstance the amount would be refunded. Upon registration, the participant could get a cancellation insurance of their entry, including three options and it is compulsory to choose one of the following:

1) I do not want any insurance.

2) Standard insurance. 10% charge of the registration fee. 2 € minimum. Refund: 80% of the registration fee or pre registration for 2020 edition until 30 September. From 1 to 21 October 2019 it is just possible a pre registration for 2020 edition.

3) Premium insurance. 20% charge of the registration fee. 4 € minimum. Refund: 100% of the registration fee or pre registration for 2020 edition until 30 September. From 1 to 21 October 2019 it is just possible a pre registration for 2020 edition.

  • The insurance must be taken out only during registration process.
  • The insurance amount is not refundable.
  • Change of ownership is not valid.

SECTION 6. T-SHIRT, BIB NUMBER AND RUNNER’S BAG PICK UP.

T-shirts, BIB number and runner’s bag are given at the Runner’s Expo, whose location will be available soon. Bring your registration paper along with you to pick up the BIB number.

SECTION 7. DEVICES AND WHEELED CONTRAPTIONS

It is not allowed to use any device or wheeled contraption during the race (hand bikes included), except for those disabled athletes on a wheelchair, validated by the Federation and officially approved by the Organization of the Event. Helmet is compulsory for the aforementioned.

SECTION 8. CATEGORIES.

The following categories are established:

Individual categories (current age the day of the race)

  • Junior: Born in 2000 and 2001 (legal age the day of the race)
  • Promesa: Born from 1997 to 1999
  • Senior: Born from 1996 to Veterana category (35 years)

Master category (Veteranas):

  • V-35 from 35 years to 39 years
  • V-40 from 40 years to 44 years
  • V-45 from 45 years to 49 years
  • V-50 from 50 years to 54 years
  • V-55 from 55 years to 59 years
  • V-60 from 60 years to 64 years
  • V-65 from 65 years to 69 years
  • V-70 from 70 years to 74 years
  • V-75 from 75 years to 79 years
  • V-80 from 80 years to 84 years
  • V-85 more than 85 years
  • Disabled participant on wheelchair
  • Intellectually/mentally disabled participant
  • Mothers
  • Grandmothers

Teams:

  • Federated Team: The first three participants count toward the team and their times are added to a final result.
  • Enterprises with the maximum number or runners.
  • Teams with the maximum number or runners.
  • Two sisters
  • Mother and daughter

SECTION 9. TIMING CHIPS PICK-UP.

The timing chip is built in the BIB number and is disposable. The timing chip will be collected on Saturday 26 October at Runner’s Expo. It is only possible to use the timing chip collected at Runner’s Expo and you do not have to give it back after the race.

SECTION 10. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.

The Organization will have an ambulance service equipped in place for evacuation and a medical service specialised on participant assistance. The ambulances will be around the course route and at the start and finish line.

SECTION 11. RESULTS, PHOTOS AND VIDEOS.

The official results, as well as, photos and videos of the participants conquering the finish line, will be released on the official web page of the event.

SECTION 12. DISQUALIFICATIONS.

The medical assistance team of the race and the referees will be entitled to take participants out of the race if:

  1. The participant is in a bad physical condition.
  2. The participant who does not complete the race course.
  3. The participant's behaviour is unsporting.

SECTION 13. VEHICLES.

The course will be closed to all vehicles except for those authorized and designed by the Organization. It is completely forbidden assist participants with a car, motorbike or bike, because it implies risks for the participants.

SECTION 14. TROPHIES AND PRIZES.

The following trophies are established for the first three of each category: The Organization can ask for documentation on the Master category when collecting the trophy.

The following prizes are established:

Category ABSOLUTA (The prizes will be paid in full if the times are under 1:15:00, otherwise 50% will be paid):

  • 1st- 750 €
  • 2nd- 500 €
  • 3rd- 350 €
  • 4th- 200 €
  • 5th- 150 €

WHEELCHAIR (The prizes will be paid in full if the times are under 1:15:00, otherwise 50% will be paid):

  • 1st- 300 €
  • 2nd- 150 €
  • 3rd- 75 €

FEDERATED TEAM:

  • 1st- 600 € *

* The first three participants count toward the team and their times are added to a final result. To win a 100% amount prize the final result has to be below 4h 30min.

SECTION 15. ACCEPTANCE.

All the participants through registering accept these Rules and if any doubt arises or a fact is not mentioned in these rules, the Organization group will stipulate a decision.

SECTION 16. ABANDONS.

In case a participant has to give up the race, she must report it to a member of the Organization.

SECTION 18. DOUBT SOLVING.

In case of doubts, the Organization would abide by the Official IAAF Rules and Regulations.

SECTION 19. AGREEMENT OF PUBLICATION (DATA PROTECTION POLICY).

Pursuant to the art. 5 of the Organic Law 3/2018, of 5th December regarding personal data protection, you are hereby advised that your personal data will be included in a file whose ownership and responsibility corresponds to Motorpress Ibérica S.A, registered in the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The collection and processing of personal data, incorporated in the files, aim to the registration of the participants and also to keep them updated regarding information of the Madrid Women’s Half Marathon.

Motorpress Ibérica S.A. fulfils organizational, technical and security requirements stipulated by the regulation implementation Organic Law 3/2018 of 5th December, on the Protection of Personal Data.

Personal data provided, as well as images captured during the event, shall be only used pursuant to the current regulations and for the aforementioned purpose, also for the event promotion and final results of the race, in which appear participant’s name, surname, category and nationality.

Moreover, since the race belongs to the official international and national calendar of the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) and the contract signed between the responsible body of processing data envisages the commercial use of the activity for their part; the following transfers are foreseen specifically authorised: your personal data to the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) for their compliance purposes and the use of images obtained throughout the race event to be used in kind of format or media (paper, web, publications, video, etc...) pursuant to the purposed mentioned in these sections.

All the participants through registering accept that they have been informed of the aforementioned content and you expressly declare your agreement to store your personal data for the aforementioned purposes.

If you wish, you would be able to exercise your rights regarding access, rectification, cancellation and objection, which are recognized in the Organic Law.
